Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are leading the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with the mission of cutting down the $6.75 trillion spent by the federal government in 2024. President-elect Donald Trump described the duo’s task as a “Manhattan Project” to dismantle wasteful spending, slash excess regulations, and restructure federal agencies.
