Biden reveals strange wish for Trump at San Francisco fundraiser

During a fundraising event in San Francisco, Joe Biden made a controversial remark about 45th President Donald Trump, expressing a sarcastic wish that Trump had tried one of his own misguided suggestions from the past.

Biden referenced a widely debunked claim that Trump had advocated for injecting bleach to combat COVID-19, saying, “Remember him saying the best thing to do is just inject a little bleach in your arm?” He continued, “That’s what he said. And he meant it. I wish he had done a little bit himself.”

This comment stems from an incident during Trump’s presidency where he speculated about using disinfectants inside the body to treat the coronavirus, sparking widespread criticism and confusion.

According to a White House transcript from that period, Trump discussed the potential of using “very powerful light” inside the body or a disinfectant that could clean the lungs, saying, “And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning.”

However, Trump clarified when pressed by reporters that he was not suggesting an injection of disinfectant, stating, “it wouldn’t be through injection.” Despite this, the claim has been perpetuated by various Democratic figures who falsely say Trump made hazardous health recommendations.

The narrative has been refuted by sources, including Breitbart News, which highlights that Trump never explicitly instructed anyone to inject bleach. This misrepresentation has been echoed by former Democratic officials, contributing to ongoing political rhetoric surrounding Trump’s unconventional statements during his administration.
