After Colorado supremes boot Trump from ballot, GOP legislators fight back

It has been revealed that three Republican state lawmakers are in the process of crafting legislation aimed at removing President Joe Biden from the ballots in crucial swing states—Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. The lawmakers behind this initiative are Pennsylvania Representative Aaron Bernstine, Georgia Representative Charlice Byrd, and Arizona Representative Cory McGarr.

The motivation behind these bills stems from the lawmakers’ desire to counter what they perceive as Democrats’ “lawfare,” a term used to describe legal tactics employed against former President Donald Trump. The catalyst for this action was the recent 4-3 ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court, which determined that the “Insurrection Clause” of the United States Constitution prevents Trump from being featured on the state’s presidential ballot.

In a statement provided to Breitbart News, the lawmakers explained their rationale: “We are joining forces to introduce legislation to REMOVE Joe Biden from the ballot in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. The absurdity of radical Democrat judges removing Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado will be a stain on the American political system for decades.”

They argued that, based on the Democrats’ legal justifications in Colorado, Biden is also ineligible to run for political office. They pointed to Biden’s actions at the southern border and alleged corrupt dealings with China, claiming that the same reasoning used against Trump could be applied to Biden.

Expressing their dissatisfaction with the Colorado decision, the lawmakers emphasized their objective: “To be clear, our objective is to showcase the absurdity of Colorado’s decision and allow ALL candidates to be on the ballot in all states. To do that, we must fight back as Republicans against the communists currently running our great country.”

Republicans, disheartened by the Colorado ruling, have been contemplating various strategies to block Biden from state ballots. While some Texas Republicans considered action based on the Biden administration’s border policies, no concrete steps were taken. Political strategist Cliff Maloney praised the efforts of lawmakers like Bernstine, Byrd, and McGarr, emphasizing the seriousness of Democrats in what he perceives as a threat to the American Republic.
