On Friday, it was reported that Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), will vote for witnesses after she still sat on the fence about the issue on Thursday.
“The House chose to send articles of impeachment that are rushed and flawed. I carefully considered the need for additional witnesses and documents, to cure the shortcomings of its process, but ultimately decided that I will vote against considering motions to subpoena,” Murkowski said in a statement.
She will not be joining the usual “moderate” Republicans (Sens. Willard Romney and Susan Collins), in voting against witnesses, however, she has in the past.
In 2018, Murkowski voted “present” Hon. Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
