Recent reports suggest that Hamas-affiliated digital wallets received approximately $41 million, while Palestinian Islamic Jihad-linked digital wallets received about $93 million between August 2021 and June 2023.
The lawmakers are seeking clarity on the accessibility and current possession status of the identified digital assets by Hamas. Hamas reportedly ended its digital asset fundraising campaign in April 2023, citing concerns about government officials’ ability to identify and prosecute donors.
