Major League Baseball (MLB) Commissioner Robert “Rob” D. Manfred, Jr. told reporters that the League had issued guidelines to teams about the use of “LGBTQ+ Pride” jerseys and events celebrating Pride.
“We have told teams, in terms of actual uniforms, hats, bases, that we don’t think putting logos on them is a good idea just because of the desire to protect players, not putting them in a position of doing something that may make them uncomfortable because of their personal views,” Manfred told The Washington Post.
“Manfred added that it is a ‘local decision,’ saying that every team knows their market well enough to either have a Pride Night or not,” Fox News further reported.
On Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers faced thousands of Christian protesters at the team’s “Pride Night” event that featured the anti-Catholic hate group the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” a group of LGBTQ+ radicals who dress in drag to mock nuns. The group also mocks Jesus, the clergy, and other religious figures.
Toronto Blue Jays reliever Anthony Bass was recently cut from the team after praising boycotts to “woke” brands promoting the transgender agenda on children, despite his apology after the comments.
