Joe Biden’s border catastrophe has reached new heights, with the Biden regime now being forced to send “1,500 more active-duty troops temporarily to the southern border to assist agents ahead of an expected influx of migrants seeking asylum,” according to Politico.
The move comes as on May 11, Title 42, which allows the denial of asylum for public health reasons, expires, bolstering the possibility of an even bigger catastrophe on the horizon as illegal immigrants flood through the southern border.
The Department of Homeland Security announced in a statement Tuesday, “U.S. Customs and Border Protection is investing in technology and personnel to reduce its need for DoD support in coming years, and we continue to call on Congress to support us in this task.”
Even Democrats, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams, blasted the Biden regime’s handling of the border crisis.
“It is not about the asylum-seekers and migrants, all of us came from somewhere to pursue the American Dream… it’s the irresponsibility of the White House for not addressing this problem.”
Biden’s White House press secretary tried to blame the border crisis on Republicans, claiming the extra troops “would not be necessary if Congress would act.”
“As you know, on the first day of walking into the White House of his administration, the president put forth a comprehensive immigration legislation and so that we could have resources and so that we could be able to help the men and women of Border Patrol to do their jobs,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said. “And so if Congress would act and, again, do their jobs and meet us halfway and do this in a bipartisan way, we would not have to do this.”
Since Joe Biden came into the White House, the border crisis had exploded after being handled with strength under the Donald J. Trump presidential administration. Biden immediately ceased the construction of border wall started by Trump, which now leaves mass terrain susceptible to illegal immigrants pouring into the country.
