Ron DeSantis
Although not a 2024 candidate (at least not yet), DeSantis has had a lot to say and do regarding Disney. He signed H.B. 9B, which effectively stripped it of its self-governance, writing in a statement, “Allowing a corporation to control its own government is bad policy, especially when the corporation makes decisions that impact an entire region.” He claimed, “This legislation ends Disney’s self-governing status, makes Disney live under the same laws as everybody else, and ensures that Disney pays its debts and fair share of taxes.”
