Yesterday, Rep. Marie Newman (D-IL) tried to get under Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) skin after the Georgia congresswoman fought against the anti-woman “Equality Act” which would end women’s sports and let men go into women’s bathrooms.
Newman, thinking it would be funny, erected a “transgender” flag in front of her office, which is across the hall from Taylor Greene.
In a tweet that included a video, Newman wrote, “Our neighbor, @RepMTG, tried to block the Equality Act because she believes prohibiting discrimination against trans Americans is ‘disgusting, immoral, and evil.’ Thought we’d put up our Transgender flag so she can look at it every time she opens her door.”
However, Rep. Taylor Greene is not one to take it lying down and shot back, putting up a giant poster reading “There are TWO Genders: MALE & FEMALE,” with the quote, “Follow the science” underneath it.
This is just the latest clash between pro-Trump Rep. Taylor Greene and her radical left colleagues after Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) tried to claim she was scared of Taylor Greene because of a hallway confrontation. Taylor Greene later released a video showing that Bush was the provocateur, not her. Regardless, Bush moved offices, citing her fear of the Georgia firebrand congresswoman.
