Rep. Taylor Greene co-sponsors pro-life bill to protect infants with Down Syndrome

On Sunday, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene announced her co-sponsorship of the Protecting Individuals with Down Syndrome Act, sponsored by Rep. Ron Estes (R-KS).

The bill would protect infant children in the womb with Down Syndrome by barring physicians from aborting children with fetal anomalies.

“It’s tragic that in the United States babies are being targeted simply because they have one more chromosome,” said Rep. Estes. “This legislation is about ensuring the rights of individuals with disabilities are protected.”

According to the Daily Signal, “Among pro-life organizations endorsing the federal legislation from Estes and Inhofe are Susan B. Anthony List, National Right to Life, and National Pro-Life Alliance.”

Rep. Taylor Greene is also a co-sponsor of the “Life at Conception Act” She said, “My number one priority is to end the genocide of abortion. Killing a baby in the womb is the worst lie sold to women and it doesn’t solve problems, nor is it women’s ‘healthcare.’”

Also on Sunday, Rep. Taylor Greene wrote, “It’s time to follow the science and recognize as a nation that abortion is murder. Let’s work together to END ABORTION IN AMERICA!”
