On Wednesday, “Squad” member Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) broke from her squad’s favorite choice for president, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and instead endorsed Elizabeth Warren, her home state senator for the Oval Office in 2020.
In a short Twitter video, Pressley made her case for Warren, claiming she’s “consistent,” and arguing the senator’s trillion-dollar plans for free government handouts are about “power for the people,” saying “[Warren] knows how to fight and she knows how to win.”
The freshman representative stated near the end of the video that “big, structural change can’t wait,” and that she’s proud to endorse Warren for president.
The other “Squad” members most likely won’t be too critical of Pressley’s choice, as Warren is a bonafide socialist, with trillion-dollar bankrupting policies, just as Sen. Bernie Sanders.
