During a recent exchange on CNN, host John Berman questioned Michael Tyler, a spokesperson for President Joe Biden’s campaign, about their stance on former President Donald Trump and other Republican candidates. Tyler reiterated Biden’s readiness to face any candidate emerging from the Republican primary.
Following Trump’s decisive victory in the Iowa caucus, where he won 98 out of 99 counties, Berman probed Tyler on the Biden campaign’s narrative. Trump secured 51% of the vote, with Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley trailing behind. In light of these results, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy withdrew from the race.
Berman challenged Tyler on the Biden campaign’s portrayal of Trump as a unique threat to democracy, juxtaposed with their assertion that there’s little distinction between Trump and other Republican candidates like Haley.
Tyler responded by saying, “Well no, because everybody is doing their best to emulate the extremism we see in Donald Trump. They are all running on advancing abortion bans. They’re all running on ripping away health care from Americans who need it. They’re all embracing the big lie, this MAGA extremism. They’re all litigating the causes of the Civil War, if black folks somehow benefitted from slavery.”
Tyler emphasized the campaign’s preparedness to confront any Republican contender, highlighting their financial readiness with a substantial campaign fund. He compared this to the significant spending by MAGA Republicans in Iowa.
The Biden campaign continues to label Trump-supporting Republicans as “extremists” and “threats” to democracy, a central theme in their political strategy.

I agree! The GOP is despicable for not responding to any of these attacks and allowing them to continue. Except for a tiny handful of Republicans with our founders’ and our own beliefs, the entire Republican party needs to be replaced with a Constitutional Party. In the meantime, start enforcing some law and order in this country.
