In a new CBS “60 Minutes” interview with Norah O’Donnell, Joe Biden made many strange claims, on everything from Trump’s involvement with Russians, his frontrunner status, and his children not getting offices in the White House, if elected.
Biden, who was joined by his wife, Jill, answered a slew of questions, bumbling through many of his answers.
O’Donnell brought up Russia, by saying “The Russians are targeting you.” Biden responded claiming “The Russians don’t want me to be president and Trump doesn’t want me– me–… –to be the nominee. There’s certain things that come across very, very clearly.”
When O’Donnell brought up Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian oil company he sits on the board of, Biden insisted that his son is “a grown man,” and he hoped Hunter “thought this through.”
When asked about his children’s involvement in his administration, he flatly stated, “I wasn’t raised to go after the children. Their actions speak for themselves…. my children are not gonna have offices in the White House. My children are not gonna sit in on Cabinet meetings.”
O’Donnell asked, “You don’t think that Jared Kushner should be negotiating a Middle East peace solution?”
Biden replied, “No, I don’t. (LAUGH) I don’t. What– what credentials does he bring to that?”
This comes after his son, Hunter got spots on the Amtrak and Burisma Holdings’ boards, despite his lack of knowledge on oil & gas and transportation.
