On February 1, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) proposed an “energy efficiency standard” for gas cooking products, which would be a step forward in banning gas stoves. U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commissioner Richard Trumka proposed a national ban on gas stoves and falsely claimed they were a “dangerous hazard” that caused “indoor pollution.”
Democrat politicians have gleefully been posting about how they seek to ban gas stoves, such as this one:
Now, states like New York are banning gas stoves, with Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul claiming it is how the state will “transition” from fossil fuels.
Now, the Joe Biden regime is coming for Americans’ dishwashers via a new rule that would ban dishwashers based on water consumption.
“The proposal would limit dishwashers to using 3.2 gallons of water per cycle, far below the current federal limit of 5 gallons. The rules would also require manufacturers to reduce their products’ energy consumption by nearly 30%,” reported Fox Business.
“Dishwashers are not the only appliances Biden’s DOE has set its sights on, however, as the regulator is also considering crackdowns on washers, dryers and refrigerators that manufacturers say could reduce performance,” the report continued.
The Department of Energy wrote in a letter earlier this year, “Collectively these energy efficiency actions … support President Biden’s ambitious clean energy agenda to combat the climate crisis.”
