At 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, President Trump announced a major development in the defeat of ISIS, the death of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the founder and leader of the Islamic State.
The President did not mince words, saying, “Al-Baghdadi was vicious and violent and he died in a vicious and violent way. As a coward running and crying.”
The announcement comes after President Trump gave the nation a hint on Saturday night via Twitter, writing, “Something very big has just happened!”
“He will never again harm another innocent man, woman or child. He died like a dog. He died like a coward. The world is now a much safer place,” Trump continued.
Al-Baghdadi died while being chased down by U.S. forces in a tunnel, and that the ISIS leader was “whimpering and crying and screaming all the way,” with no U.S. casualties, “while a large number of Baghdadi’s fighters and companions were killed with him, said Trump.
DNA results confirmed that the slain ISIS leader was, in fact, Al-Baghdadi, with Trump saying “they brought body parts back … There wasn’t much left.”
Trump then defended his decision to pull troops out of Northern Syria, and warning the few Islamic radicals still running around that “these savage monsters will not escape their fate, and they will not escape the final judgment of God.”
