President Trump gives glowing endorsement to Sarah Huckabee Sanders for Arkansas governor

On Monday, President Donald J. Trump gave his former press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a glowing endorsement after she announced a bid for the Arkansas governorship in 2022. During her announcement, she stressed the “new generation of leadership” needed to hold the line against the far-left agenda.

“My opponents do everything in their power to destroy me, but I will not apologize for who I am or who I’m fighting for. I’m fighting for you. I will not retreat, I will not surrender, and I will not bow down to the Radical Left–not now, not ever,” added Huckabee Sanders.

President Trump called Huckabee Sanders “a warrior who will always fight for the people of Arkansas and do what is right, not what is politically correct.”

He added that “Sarah is strong on Borders, tough on Crime, and fully supports the Second Amendment and our great law enforcement officers. She loves our Military and Veterans — and her home state of Arkansas. Sarah will be a GREAT Governor, and she has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Huckabee Sanders will face off in the Republican primary against Arkansas Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin and Attorney General Leslie Rutledge for the job. Huckabee Sanders’ father, Mike Huckabee, served as Arkansas’ 45th governor from 1996 to 2007.
