Minutes after Amy Coney Barrett confirmed to U.S. Supreme Court, AOC tweets ‘Expand the court’

On Monday evening, shortly after 8:00 p.m., the U.S. Senate voted to confirm the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett of Indiana to serve as an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme court on a vote of 52-48.

shortly afterward, socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), took to Twitter to call for the Supreme Court to be packed.

She wrote, “Expand the court,” continuing to say, “Republicans do this because they don’t believe Dems have the stones to play hardball like they do. And for a long time they’ve been correct. But do not let them bully the public into thinking their bulldozing is normal but a response isn’t. There is a legal process for expansion.”
