On Wednesday, it was announced that Prince Charles of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. Charles is the heir apparent to the British throne.
“The Prince of Wales has tested positive for coronavirus,” a statement released by Clarence House, a British royal residence in London, said. “He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual.”
Charles’ wife, Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, has tested negative for the virus but is in isolation. The tests were conducted in Scotland’s Aberdeenshire by the National Health Service. As someone over 70, Charles is considered to be at higher risk than average for coronavirus.
According to a statement by Buckingham Palace, the Queen remains in “good health.”
