Dems stall urgent COVID-19 bill for ‘juicy political opportunity’ to fund abortion, Green New Deal

On Sunday, it was reported that Senate Democrats, who tanked a previously bipartisan emergency COVID-19 bill that would help suffering businesses and hurting citizens by pumping money into the economy, are now holding up for political purposes.

On Monday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell took to the Senate floor to blast the Democrats’ partisan games with life-or-death funding, calling the Democrats’ games a “juicy political opportunity” for them to ram through far-left measures.

As The Hill reports, the bipartisan agreement was nuked by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, in part, to add more cash for abortion provider Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups. “A Democratic aide said that the small business provision was drafted to exclude non-profits who receive Medicaid from being eligible for Small Business Administration assistance offered under the bill. That, according to the aide, would impact Planned Parenthood but also community health centers, rape crisis centers and disability service providers,” The Hill writes.

As well, Dems are reportedly working to push through radical environmental tax breaks and kickbacks from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal.” TownHall’s Guy Benson reports, “Via senior GOP aide, Schumer/Pelosi now pushing these demands amid pandemic-fueled economic collapse: 1) Unprecedented collective bargaining powers for unions 2) Increased fuel emissions standards for airlines 3) Expansion of wind and solar tax credits.”

Democrat House Majority Whip James Clyburn told lawmakers the nuking of the time-sensitive COVID-19 relief bill is “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision,” showing the Democrats’ only care seems to be the advancement of their radial agenda while Americans are hurting and businesses are on the brink of bankruptcy.
