Trump on news of Romney in isolation: ‘Gee, that’s too bad’

On Sunday while taking questions from reporters after a briefing with top officials on the Coronavirus task force from the White House, President Trump was asked a question about U.S. senators voting on a funding package to get the nation through the COVID-19 crisis.

Trump asked one reporter which senators were in quarantine, and the reporter answered a few names, including that of Sen. Willard (Mitt) Romney (R-UT).

President Trump replied, “Gee, that’s too bad.” The reporter asked if he “detected sarcasm” and Trump replied, “None whatsoever.”
