On Monday night, the eve of Super Tuesday, Joe Biden held an event at Gilley’s in Dallas, Texas, where former candidates Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and former Rep. Beto O-Rourke (D-TX), threw their support behind the 77-year-old former vice president.
O’Rourke angered many voters on both sides of the aisle when he declared during a Democrat presidential debate, “Hell yes we’re going to take your AR-15!”
On Monday’s rally, Joe Biden made it clear he wanted O’Rourke will “be the one who leads” his gun-grabbing effort if elected president.
“Joe Biden promises Beto O’Rourke, who pushed for gun confiscation for legal gun owners, will ‘be the one who leads’ his gun control effort,” observed GOP Rapid Response Director Steve Guest. “2020 Democrats are unambiguous about their anti-Second Amendment agenda.”
