On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate voted to acquit President Trump for the impeachment charges of obstruction of Congress and abuse of power.
Earlier in the day, Sen. Willard “Mitt” Romney announced he would vote to convict President Trump, a major defection from the supposed “conservative” Senator.
The acquittal comes after months and months of senseless impeachment hearings and investigations, all proving the President did nothing wrong.
The final vote was tallied at 52 to 48 on Article 1. The final vote on Article 2 was 53 to 47.
