On Sunday, billionaire presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg held a campaign event in East Los Angeles, where he answered a clearly planted question regarding a tweet by President Trump.
Early Sunday morning, Trump tweeted, “Mini Mike is now negotiating both to get on the Democrat Primary debate stage and to have the right to stand on boxes, or a lift, during the debates. This is sometimes done, but really not fair!” The tweet was in response to the Democrat National Committee changing its rules to put the former mayor on the debate stage.
Bloomberg’s prepared response, which he appeared to read from his podium, said, “The President lies. He lies about everything. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he said things like that. I will stand on my accomplishments of what I’ve done to bring this country together and get things done. I’ve been doing it for a long time. I stand twice as tall as he does on the stage, the stage that matters.”
It should be noted that Bloomberg has championed grabbing guns from lawful citizens, taxing sugar by the cent to hurt the poor, while President Trump won the highest office in the land and has accomplished more than he promised, including delivering the lowest unemployment rates in over sixty years.
