Fox refuses to air pro-life ad during Superbowl, approves another ad featuring drag queens

On Tuesday, it was reported that Fox Sports Network had refused to allow a pro-life advertisement for the non-profit group “Faces of Choice” to air during this Sunday’s Superbowl.

Lyric Gillett, the founder of the nonprofit group said, “application was originally made in July, but that over the following months, members of the Fox legal department made a series of further inquiries without ever approving the application. Gillett said that they had answered every question the legal team asked and provided all necessary documentation.”

Gillett and her team met every single stipulation asked of them by Fox, however, they never received an answer on their application despite providing a fully-complete packet of requested documents and forms. Some of these documents even included the people funding the advertisement.

Now Faces of Choice, partnering with another group, My Faith Votes, is petitioning Fox to approve the advertisement.

The 2019 Super Bowl averaged over 100 million viewers. On Monday, NBC News reported that two drag queens would feature in an ad for the hummus brand Sabra during the broadcast.
