Dem who hasn’t passed a single bill during 10+ yrs in Congress predicts impeachment will pass House

On Thursday, Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), who serves as “Assistant House Speaker” under Nancy Pelosi, appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” telling hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski that articles of impeachment against President Trump are expected to pass the House.

Luján said, “We expect a vote today in the Judiciary Committee. … it seems very clear to me that articles of impeachment will pass the Judiciary Committee. and will be in front of the U.S. House of Representatives on the floor as early as next week.”

Today, the House Judiciary Committee is hearing debate on articles of impeachment, with a vote on the measure expected.

Lujan, who has served since 2009, has not passed a single bill into law which he has sponsored during his decade in Congress. Lujan is seeking a U.S. Senate seat in 2020.
