Failed presidential candidate John Kerry endorses Joe Biden for president

On Thursday, former Secretary of State John Kerry endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for president with under two months to go in the first primary election.

“I believe Joe Biden is the President our country desperately needs right now, not because I’ve known Joe so long, but because I know Joe so well. I’ve never before seen the world more in need of someone who on day one can begin the incredibly hard work of putting back together the world Donald Trump has smashed apart,” Kerry wrote in a statement.

He also tweeted his support in a tweet, writing “Proud to head back to Iowa tomorrow to campaign with my friend Joe. I’m not endorsing Joe because I’ve known him for so long, but because I know him so well: he’ll be ready on day one to put back together the country and the world that Donald Trump has broken apart.”

It’s unclear what Kerry is referring to by claiming President Trump has “broken apart” our nation, especially since he served in the Obama Administration, which is credited with dividing America.
