Schiff’s Intel report: Trump ‘undermined’ national security, ‘obstructed’ impeachment inquiry

According to the House Intelligence Committee report released on Tuesday, the impeachment inquiry in the committee claims that Trump “undermined” national security and “obstructed” the impeachment inquiry.

As the executive summary of the report says, “President Trump’s scheme subverted U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine and undermined our national security in favor of two politically motivated investigations that would help his presidential reelection campaign.”

Regarding the inquiry itself, the report reads, “President Trump engaged in an unprecedented campaign of obstruction of this impeachment inquiry.”

The report comes after weeks of hearings in the House Intelligence Committee, where Republicans were repeatedly gagged by Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Republican witnesses were held up.

Adam Schiff said after the report was released, he had a press conference, saying, Trump thinks he is “above the law,” and that he “obstructed Congress.”

“The facts here are really not seriously contested,” Schiff said, repeating “it is an uncontested fact” numerous times to try and drive his point home.
