On Wednesday morning before the fourth day of open impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill, President Trump sent out a tweet blasting Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and radical House Democrats.
Trump claimed Pelosi is “dominated by AOC Plus 3 and the Radical Left,” and gave her a new title: “the least productive Speaker of the House in history.”
Trump’s comment comes as Pelosi has focused the House’s attention on impeaching a duly-elected president, despite the lack of even a shred of damning evidence. The impeachment inquiry proceedings continue as vital legislation still needs to pass through Congress, including the United States-Mexico-Canada-Agreement (USMCA) and lowering drug costs.
Also in the tweet, Trump referenced Canada and Mexico having to wait for the U.S. to approve the USMCA, saying the countries “are ready to flee – and who can blame them? Too bad!”
Despite the President and Republicans criticisms of Pelosi wasting taxpayers’ time and money on the impeachment inquiry, Democrats are still trucking along. Today U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, deputy assistant secretary of defense Laura Cooper, and under secretary of State for political affairs, David Hale will testify today before the House Intelligence Committee, chaired by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
