The Left is already eating Deval Patrick alive — and taking Obama down with him

Former Gov. Deval Patrick (D-MA) entered the race for President this morning, saying he “admires” and “respects” the 2020 Democrat candidates for president, “But if the character of the candidates is an issue in every election, this time it is about the character of the country.”

Deval is the latest candidate to jump into the 2020 field after Michael Bloomberg filed paperwork this week in Alabama and Arkansas for the Democrat presidential primaries, and the Radical Left is already running hit pieces on Patrick’s run for the White House.

The far-left website Huffington Post, repurposed a 2018 article they wrote on Patrick entitled “Deval Patrick, Foreclosure Mogul,” in which they rip him a new one, claiming President Obama is secretly lobbying for Deval Patrick to be the nominee, writing “Today much of the 44th president’s inner circle is promoting Patrick at elite gatherings.”

The article says, “Patrick’s biography isn’t an uplifting rags-to-riches story but an ugly tale of corruption among the American power elite,” finally echoing what conservatives have been saying for a long time, that Obama is nothing but a political elite, now that he’s no longer in office. After all, Obama and Deval lived in well-off families and attended Ivy League feeder schools before attending Harvard Law School.

Huffington Post also blasted Patrick for praising billionaires, such as “Republican Party megadonor” Roland Arnall, citing Patrick saying Arnall was “a good man.” They also brand Patrick as a corporate hack, working to clean up messy racial discrimination lawsuits at Texaco and Coca Cola.

According to the Boston Herald, “Gov. Deval Patrick’s administration secretly diverted nearly $27 million in public money to off-budget accounts that paid for a $1.35 million trade junket tab, bloated advertising contracts, and a deal with a federally subsidized tourism venture backed by U.S. Sen. Harry Reid.”

These revelations into Patrick’s past, along with the Left’s hatred for large corporations who employ millions of Americans, no matter how much good they do, make Deval a target in the 2020 primary as candidates such as Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders look to give government-funded everything to “the poor,” allegedly being paid by “the rich,” although that
