The Trump campaign has vehemently disputed claims from Kamala Harris’ campaign that an agreement had been reached on presidential debates. The controversy erupted following a statement from the Harris campaign on Thursday, which asserted that 45th President Donald Trump had agreed to participate in three debates: two presidential and one vice-presidential.
Trump’s National Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, dismissed the Harris campaign’s statement as misleading. In response to the claims, Leavitt told the Daily Caller, “Let’s be clear: President Trump will be on the debate stage THREE times with Fox News, ABC, and NBC/Telemundo. Similarly, Senator Vance will face Tim Walz in two debates, on September 18 with CNN and October 1 with CBS. If Harris and Walz don’t show up, an empty podium can stand in their place, demonstrating their weakness to the American people.”
The Harris campaign’s statement suggested that if Trump participated in a debate on September 10, there would be an additional opportunity to see him and Harris debate in October. However, Leavitt countered that no October debate has been proposed. “There’s been no proposal from a network for an October debate. They’re just throwing that out there needlessly,” she said.
Leavitt further criticized the Harris campaign for its handling of debate negotiations. “President Trump committed to three debates. Kamala should commit to the same three debates. Both campaigns received the same debate invitations from the networks,” Leavitt stated.
The Harris campaign initially declared that “the debate about debates is over,” but Leavitt rejected this claim. “Harris’s advisors do not trust her competence and skills to debate President Trump. They are trying to test her performance in September before committing to an October debate. That’s not how this works,” she asserted.
Leavitt also accused Harris of avoiding unscripted engagements. “Kamala Harris is a COWARD. She refuses to do a press conference, refuses to take a sit-down interview, and refuses to accept the three debate invitations agreed to by President Trump. Harris won’t speak unscripted because she can’t defend her dangerously liberal record and failed four years in the White House,” Leavitt added.
The debate saga between the Trump and Harris campaigns has been ongoing for months. Both sides initially rejected the traditional Commission on Presidential Debates process, opting instead to negotiate directly with each other and television networks.
Trump’s debate challenges to President Joe Biden during the Republican primary and subsequent debates were marked by Biden’s poor performance, which led to his removal from the presidential race by fellow Democrats. Following Biden’s replacement with Harris, the Trump camp argued that any previous debate agreements were no longer valid.
Since then, negotiations have continued over the number, timing, and hosting networks of the debates.

* Harris claimed she “Smoked Pot in College while listening to Tupac and Snoops.” Tupac’s first album came out in 1991 and Snoops album came out in 1993…Harris graduated college in 1989. DUH! SEE WHAT I MEAN?

It makes no sense to have a debate in October. Most, if not all, states will be well into early and mail-in voting by mid-October.
If now is the time for a woman to be president then how do the democrats define a woman. Do we know if she is a woman by their definition of what a woman is?
