Libs react to apparent coup against Biden with waterworks on live TV

CNN’s Van Jones became emotional on Sunday as he reacted to Joe Biden’s announcement that he would be suspending his 2024 presidential campaign.

The senior political commentator expressed his deep sadness over the decision, likening it to taking away the car keys from an elderly loved one. “He’s fighting and he’s fighting and everybody’s so frustrated. And then you finally get the keys back. And then you just cry,” Jones said, nearly breaking down on live television.

“This is somebody that you love. This is somebody that you care about,” Jones continued. “This is somebody who was there for you. This is somebody you wouldn’t be here without him. And you had to take something from him.”

Jones criticized the media coverage that portrayed Biden as a liability for the Democratic Party, stating, “I don’t know anything about politics. I just know that I love this man, I care about this man.”

Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), co-chair of the Biden-Harris campaign, also appeared emotional on air. He shared the sentiments of many Delaware residents, saying, “The folks in Delaware who’ve been texting me and calling me in the last few hours, all want me to say to Joe Biden, how much we love him, how much we admire and respect his service and how grateful we all are for the decisions he’s made over decades in his service and his tireless loyalty to our home state of Delaware.”

Coons paused to compose himself before adding, “He is the greatest Delawarean in our history and the fact that he has chosen to be grounded in our community, in our parish, in our parishes, in the traditions and history of bipartisanship and of respecting each other and of being compassionate and decent.”

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki also expressed her shock during her MSNBC show. “I am digesting this myself here, because I worked for him for a year and a half, and he is a remarkable person, a remarkable president,” Psaki said. She noted that the news took everyone by surprise, adding on social media that there was little indication from Biden’s close associates that this decision was imminent.

Biden’s decision to drop out of the race came after weeks of pressure from prominent Democrats and donors following a lackluster debate performance. In a letter posted on social media, Biden acknowledged that stepping down was in the “best interest of my party and country” and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination. “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year,” Biden wrote.

Former President Donald Trump reacted by calling Biden the “worst president in the history of our country” during a CNN interview.

The announcement has disrupted Democratic plans and caught many off guard, including CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, who was seen returning to the newsroom from a Washington D.C. restaurant to cover the breaking news. Sympathetic journalists shared memes of Blitzer’s solemn face, highlighting the unexpected nature of Biden’s decision.

The political landscape now faces a significant shift as Democrats rally behind Kamala Harris, aiming to regroup and strategize for the upcoming election.

  1. It makes me nauseous how the Lib/Dem controlled media are reacting on Sleepy Joes forced step down from his second term run for office. For years this same lying media praised Joe for destroying our economy and worldwide presence. He’s fine they said while saying his gaffes were made up by the right sided media. Now they will sing praises for Kamala until they decide she is not competitive against Trump and dump her while all along spreading lies, hate and fear about how the world will end if Trump gets elected. Lets hope and pray that many Democrats will see that their party is corrupt and that their win at all costs is bad for the USA and we get Trump elected to stop the decay of our once great nation.
