Prominent leftist foresees Biden’s election loss

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore issued a stark warning to Joe Biden on his podcast, “Rumble with Michael Moore,” predicting a loss in the upcoming election due to Biden’s stance on Israel. Moore drew parallels to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 defeat, suggesting that Biden’s support could erode over this issue, leading to voter apathy. “[Joe] Biden, you could end this now. You know it’s wrong, I know you know it’s wrong. I know I sound like a broken record, and I know you know you’re going to lose this election, in part because too many people are going to stay home,” Moore cautioned.

During his discussion, Moore expressed concerns about the potential political consequences of Biden’s foreign policy decisions, specifically his support for Israel, which he believes could deter young voters. Moore emphasized, “There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of young people between the ages of 18 and 30, probably 35, maybe even 40. Young people don’t want war. Why? Well, why don’t they like war? Because they’re the ones usually sent to go and die in the war. And so no, they don’t support it, and they don’t support you. And now they’re sick of you, sick of what you’ve been doing. And you can’t see it.”

Moore also suggested that Biden should focus on reparations and humanitarian aid to Gaza as a way to rectify the situation and regain support, stating, “I know you’ve got good people working for you, your aides, people in the White House, they must have said something to you that you’ve got to kind of bring this to an end and then make reparations to build those homes back for those people and get them some food and drinking water.”

The filmmaker has been vocal in his criticism of Biden’s policies regarding Israel in the past and has worked to mobilize voters in Michigan who are disillusioned with Biden’s approach. He has described his efforts as an attempt to “save Biden from himself” due to Biden’s policies that, according to Moore, alienate key voter demographics.

Moore’s frustration culminated in a direct appeal to Biden: “Be a politician for once. What does a politician want most? To get reelected,” Moore said. “Why are you guaranteeing possibly losing the election and Trump being back in the White House? What is fricking wrong with you?” His stark critique underscores the tension within the Democratic base over Biden’s foreign policy choices and highlights the potential electoral ramifications.
