In a major and unprecedented legal development, a New York court ruled against Donald Trump, imposing a three-year prohibition on his business activities in the state and holding him accountable for damages exceeding $350 million. This judgment is a result of a lawsuit initiated by New York’s Attorney General Letitia James, accusing Trump, his relatives, and their business, the Trump Organization, of engaging in fraudulent activities.
The decision, delivered by fringe leftist Judge Arthur Engoron after an extensive trial that commenced in October, found that Trump and the co-defendants engaged in continuous fraudulent acts, including the manipulation of business records and the dissemination of misleading financial statements, among other charges.
The ruling also restricts Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, from holding executive positions in any New York-based corporations for two years. Further restrictions were placed on Allen Weisselberg and Jeffrey McConney, former senior officials at the Trump Organization, barring them from financial control roles in New York-based companies for three years.
Judge Engoron’s 92-page decision included critical remarks about Trump’s courtroom behavior, noting his tendency to evade direct answers and make unrelated statements, which undermined his credibility.
Trump’s legal team strongly criticized the verdict, with attorney Christopher Kise denouncing it as an unjust political attack and questioning the integrity of the legal process. Kise argued that the trial, which lasted 44 days, failed to substantiate the Attorney General’s allegations of fraud and emphasized Trump’s significant net worth, which contradicted the claims of financial misrepresentation.
Trump’s legal representatives have signaled their intention to appeal the decision, asserting that the ruling is not only unjust to Trump but also poses a broader threat to American economic freedom and legal fairness.
The case, stemming from accusations by Letitia James of deceptive business practices by Trump and his organization, has been marked by heated exchanges and legal maneuvers, including a partial gag order on Trump to limit public comments about the trial. James’ office sought substantial penalties and aimed to restrict Trump and his company’s ability to conduct business in New York, reflecting the serious nature of the allegations.
This legal battle underscores ongoing tensions between Trump and certain legal authorities, with Trump dismissing the proceedings as a politically motivated “witch hunt” and his legal team questioning the absence of a jury trial. The case continues to stir significant public and media interest, reflecting its implications for Trump, his business empire, and broader issues of accountability and transparency in business practices.
They want to bankrupt President Trump… financial assassination. They (far left radicals and deep state) will stop at nothing to stop Trump from becoming president again. They are so afraid of him. So they make up charges and with corrupt judges, he has not a chance. Hopefully he (his attorney) will take it to the Supreme Court. This insanity needs to stop.
God have mercy on us all.
