Target’s LGBT merchandise targeting children was recently met with intense backlash and accusations the company is “grooming” kids with woke gender ideology and products sexualizing them.
“Target has lost $9 billion in market value since angry social media users called for a boycott of the Minneapolis-based retailer over its rollout of the “PRIDE” collection featuring LGBTQ-friendly clothing for children,” wrote the New York Post.
One week ago, before the backlash, the stock held at $160.96 per share. Now, it is sitting at $141.76 per share.
“Target said on Tuesday it was removing some items from its stores and making other changes to its LGBTQ+ merchandise nationwide ahead of Pride month after intense backlash from some customers who confronted workers and tipped over displays,” the Post continued.
“Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and well-being while at work,” Target said on Tuesday. “Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior.”
Southern Target stores have been moving the LGBT products to the back of the store where they formerly were prominently displayed.
One of the garments that garnered the most outrage was a “tuck-friendly” women’s swimsuit for men with penises to use to “tuck” their genitals.
The transgender children’s swimsuit line was designed by Erik Carnell, a Satanist.
