According to a new poll from CBS News, Republicans are increasingly showing that they think it is important candidates are loyal to President Donald Trump.
In January, the CBS poll showed that 55 percent of Republicans thought it important to be loyal to the 45th President, with that number shifting ten percent to 65 percent now.
“While MAGA Republicans are much likelier to view loyalty as “very important,” even non-MAGA Republicans have shifted — among the latter group, the percentage calling it at least somewhat important has grown by 10 points (from 55% in January to 65% now),” wrote the outlet.
With the 2024 presidential primary elections right around the corner, Donald Trump leads the pack of GOP presidential hopefuls — the new figure further cementing that Trump loyalty is important to Republican voters. This could spell doom for other Republicans who seek to defeat Trump in 2024.
