Taylor Swift, boyfriend call it quits after six-year relationship

According to an exclusive report by Entertainment Tonight (ET), “Cruel Summer” singer Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Joe Alwin, have called it quits after six years of dating.

The outlet reported that the couple broke up “a few weeks ago,” with ET learning that the split was “amicable” and “not dramatic.”

The relationship had reportedly “just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.”

Swift is currently on her “The Eras” tour, heading to Tampa, Florida, next week.

Alwyn told British Vogue in 2018, “I think we have been successfully very private, and that has now sunk in for people.”

Taylor Swift has long been a supporter of the Democrat Party, including supporting former Gov. Phil Bredesen in his failed U.S. Senate race against Republican then-Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn.

“I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee,” wrote Swift at the time. “In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now. I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country.”
