On Tuesday, the Senate held a procedural vote on the constitutionality of impeaching President Donald J. Trump after he had left office. The motion, sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) calling the motion illegal drew vast support from Republicans, with only five GOP members voting against it.
Here are the five:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT)
Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE)
Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA)
Other RINO senators, including Sens. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Roy Blunt (R-MO) denounced President Donald J. Trump, but agreed with Sen. Rand Paul that the move to impeach post-presidency was illegal.
Ernst said, that while Trump “exhibited poor leadership and holds some responsibility” for the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, that her “concern right now is that the president is no longer in office.”
Blunt said, “until I read my notice from the leader this morning I didn’t know there was a chance [impeachment] was going to happen.”
This impeachment and the last one were wrong and without any reason to impeach. This cannot be allowed! The left is totally out of control and they are destroying our country!
NOW IS THE TIME FOR A THIRD PARTY.
We need some good true Republicans to run against these 5 during their next primary.
They will look as foolish as the Dems – crooked, corrupt and foolish. Good riddance RINOs… you will be replaced.
Let’s pray they will be gone. So much corruption and division among the Republicans “swamp rats”. They aren’t what we’ve known the republicans to be normally….(except Bushs).
