Kim Klacik’s congressional campaign raised $1.5 million within 72 hours of viral video

Last week, Baltimore congressional candidate Kim Klacik’s viral video showing what Democrats do to communities grabbed attention across the country.

“Democrats don’t want you to see this. They’re scared that I’m exposing what life is like in Democrat-run cities. That’s why I’m running for Congress. Because all Black lives matter. Baltimore matters. And Black people don’t have to vote Democrat,” said Klacik in her three-minute video. The video has over 10 million views on Twitter alone.

The Daily Trumplican first reported on Klacik’s congressional run in November 2019 when Elijah Cummings passed away, leaving his seat vacant. She previously exposed the crime and rat-infested city, which opened many eyes to the city’s problems.

CNN’s Brian Stelter repeatedly lied about Klacik in a segment, mispronouncing her name and saying she lost a local county race that she actually won.

WBAL 11 reports that withing 72 hours, Klacik’s viral video had raised the candidate $1.5 million. Her opponent, Kweisi Mfume, has bashed her with ad-hominem attacks.

Republican strategist and former candidate for Baltimore mayor said, “What’s interesting about this critique about her is that it’s one you never see given to Democrats or to white candidates. Former Mayor (Catherine) Pugh went jogging through the blight in her ad in 2016. David Warnock drove his pickup truck through the blight. It’s not an uncommon thing. But because she’s a Republican, for whatever reason — and I think it’s mostly because she’s associated with Trump — it just brought all this ire on her that was undeserved.”
