President Trump’s brother, Robert, passes away at 71

On Saturday night, it was reported that President Donald Trump’s brother, Robert Trump, had peacefully passed away in New York.

A statement from the President announcing the somber news is below:

“It is with a heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight,” Trump said in the statement released late Saturday night.

“He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”

Fox News reports:

Robert Trump had pulled back from the public view in recent years and described himself as “gainfully retired” living in Millbrook, N.Y. But Robert had come back into the spotlight recently, as he repeatedly tried to block publication of his niece Mary Trump’s new book, “Too Much and Never Enough.”

He requested a restraining order to stop the book from being published, saying its publication would be a violation of the will she signed of the family patriarch Fred Trump Sr.

“Her attempt to sensationalize and mischaracterize our family relationship after all of these years for her own financial gain is both a travesty and injustice to the memory of my late brother, Fred, and our beloved parents,” he said. “I and the rest of my entire family are so proud of my wonderful brother, the president, and feel that Mary’s actions are truly a disgrace,” Robert Trump told the New York Times in a statement.

This is a developing story.

  1. Sorry for your families loss, i know the pain of losing a family member to well. I lost my older brother in 1988 to cancer as the young age of 41. Rest in peace Robert Trump.

  2. I am very sorry for your loss. It is very hard to lose a family member like a brother, sister or parents. I know how it feel as on May 18th 2020 I lost my 51 year old baby girl. My heart is so sad and the pain is so deep it is hard to explain but we go on knowing that me will meet them again.
I pray for you and your family that you will come to a peace for the loss of Robert.
