NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio: snitch on people not ‘social distancing’ and report them to police

On Saturday, New York City Mayor and failed former presidential candidate Bill de Blasio told New Yorkers to snitch on people they observe not practicing “social distancing.”

“When you see a crowd, when you see a line that’s not distanced, when you see a supermarket that’s too crowded — anything — you can report it right away so we can get help there to fix the problem,” de Blasio said.

He urged people to look out for people in overcrowded situations and snap pictures of them. “Bang, send a photo like this, and we will make sure that enforcement comes right away,” the NYC mayor said.

Earlier in the month, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti gave similar instructions to Los Angelinos, saying, “You know the old expression about snitches? Well, in this case snitches get rewards.” He continued, “We want to thank you for turning folks in and making sure we are all safe.”
