On Monday, Mike Lindell, founder and CEO of MyPillow spoke at the White House about what his company is doing to help produce masks and medical garments to aide with the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his remarks, Lindell remarked, “God gave us grace on November 8, 2016, to change the course we were on.” He also added, “I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the word, read our Bibles and spend time with our families.”
The call to faith triggered many liberals in the media, some claiming it’s a violation between the distinction between church and state.
Sarh Reese Jones of PoliticsUSA wrote on Twitter, “My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell says God put Trump in the White House and tells people to read the Bible while standing behind a presidential seal on government property in a clear violation of the separation of church and state.”
MSNBC’s Joy Reid claimed the news od Lindell’s prayer for America interrupted her marathon of Netflix’s “Tiger King” show, writing, “So my Tiger King binge was interrupted by a text saying the CEO of MyPillow is now part of the presidential briefings on COVID19 … please tell me this is a prank.”
Conservative Twitter personality Arthur Schwartz remarked back, “Must be tough for a homophobe like you to watch a show with all that gay stuff in it,” referring to homophobic blog posts Reid has written and since distanced herself from.
Everyone should be on their knees in prayer, especially during this time and stop criticizing people who believe in the Lord. One day you will wish you had.
I believe it’s freedom of speech. Rock on !
