Steyer drops out of Dem presidential race after Joe Biden wins South Carolina primary

On Saturday, after it was announced that former Vice President Joe Biden had won the South Carolina Democrat primary, billionaire Tom Steyer announced that he is dropping out of the race.

Steyer had earned a minuscule 11.7 percent of the vote in South Carolina, with 56% reporting. The huge loss comes after the billionaire spent millions on his campaign in the Palmetto State.

“Honestly, I can’t see a path where I can win the presidency,” Steyer said in a speech after the crippling loss.

During the campaign, Steyer compared impeaching President Trump to fighting the Nazis, Trump’s handling of the coronavirus to Hurricane Katrina, sold “Trump is a fraud and failure” bumper stickers on “KeepAmericaGreat.com” after he bought it for (probably) an obscene amount of money, and his aides tried to bribe Iowa lawmakers for endorsements.

After news broker that Steyer was dropping out, Fox 5 DC host Tim Young wrote on Twitter, **BREAKING** Tom Steyer dropped out of the 2020 race.  **ALSO BREAKING** Tonight will be the first time Tom Steyer has ever trended on Twitter. **FURTHER BREAKING** …Who is Tom Steyer again?”
