On Saturday, Democrats held their third caucus of the primary season, with Nevada caucusing to choose the next Democrat nominee for their party.
Hours after caucusing, Fox News reported that Sanders had been projected to win the state, clinching 56% of the vote with 4% reporting in the second round of caucusing.
USA Today reported that Sanders had won Nevada’s “most valuable precinct,” set up at the Bellagio for Las Vegas casino workers, with the socialist senator clinching 76 of the 121 votes.
However, Biden won the precinct across the street at Paris casino. Of the 32 delegates available at Paris, Biden won 14 to Sanders’ 7. Buttigieg and Steyer took 6 each.
The news came the same day that Slate magazine pondered whether Sanders would have another heart attack by November, questioning the socialist’s stamina.
