Trump unleashes his fury on Mitt Romney, ‘Joe Munchkin’ after they voted to convict

President Trump went after Sens. Willard “Mitt” Romney (RINO-UT), and Joe Manchin (D-WV) on Sunday morning, not holding back on their dereliction of duties as United States senators.

The President retweeted the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberly Strassel who wrote, “Mitt Romney may think he’s taking a shot at POTUS. But any real damage he causes will in fact be to Senate Rs in tough races. Schumer’s goal with all this was retaking the Senate. If he succeeds, he’ll hopefully remember to send Romney a thank you.”

Trump’s retweet read, “Romney hurt some very good Republican Senators, and he was wrong about the Impeachment Hoax. No clue!” Trump and Strassel’s point is important to note, especially with Republicans in blue states who have to worry about re-election in 2020.

Trump also went after self-proclaimed “moderate” Sen. Joe Manchin, giving him a new nickname: “Joe Munchkin.” Trump wrote, “They are really mad at Senator Joe Munchkin in West Virginia. He couldn’t understand the Transcripts. Romney could, but didn’t want to!” President Trump won Manchin’s home state of West Virginia by a margin of 41.7%.

Trump also re-tweeted a few other posts blasting Romney, such as one from Big League Politics reading, “Mitt Romney has stabbed Trump in the back and will join Democrats in their shameful attempt to overturn an election. Mitt may think it’s payback… BUT Utah is preparing a process to #RECALLMITT!”
