62% reporting: Buttigieg leads Dems in Iowa with 27% of delegates

According to new Iowa polls released on Tuesday, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg is leading the pack with 27% of delegates. At the time of release, only 62% of precincts were reporting.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT), is trialing Buttigieg with 25%, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) with 18%, former Vice President Joe Biden with 16%, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) with 13%, and Andrew Yang with 1%.

Monday’s caucuses began at 8:00 p.m. E.S.T., but due to what some called “technical difficulties,” the app intended to report delegate counts did not work, and Democrats were left without an initial result.

On Tuesday, Iowa Democrat Party Chair Troy Price refused to tell reporters when counting will be concluded, repeatedly making it known his intention to have a fair counting process.

This is a developing story.
