Right after announcing his U.S. Senate run, the DC Swamp goes after pro-Trump Rep. Doug Collins

On Wednesday morning, Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA), announced his candidacy for the United States Senate while speaking on Fox & Friends, one of President Trump’s favorite news shows.

During the appearance, he confirmed, “I know there has been discussion about it and I have been asked about it before. We are in for the Georgia Senate race down here.”

But quickly after his historic announcement that he would challenge the newly-appointed Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who was not Donald President Trump’s choice for the appointment, the swamp creatures at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

In a statement, the swamp creatures at the NRSC bashed Collins, saying, “The shortsightedness in this decision is stunning. Doug Collins’ selfishness will hurt David Perdue, Kelly Loeffler, and President Trump. Not to mention the people of Georgia who stand to bear the burden of it for years to come.”

The NRSC’s Matt Whitlock went after Collins on Twitter, saying, “The President called on a group of House members to serve as his “impeachment team” to rebut House managers and act as surrogates. Largely missing: Doug Collins, who the President called on but has instead been using trial time to make career moves that could hurt the President.” He attached photographs cropped to seem as if Collins was not present, however, he has neglected to add all the times Collins was there defending Trump.

Loeffler has ties to failed socialist Democrat candidate Stacey Abrams, including giving her an award. Loeffler’s organization, the Atlanta WMBA is pro-abortion and supports Planned Parenthood.

Doug Collins has been a staunch defender of President Trump throughout the impeachment process and for years before, whereas Loeffler has been silent until recently, as she has been mysteriously tapped for a Senate seat.
