On Wednesday, Democrat House members gleefully gathered around Speaker Nancy Pelosi as she signed the two articles of impeachment passed through the House against Donald Trump before their next stop at the Senate.
Despite Nancy Pelosi previously saying impeachment is a “solemn” occasion, Democrat House members appeared as joyful as ever, as they stood by Pelosi to receive their very own souvenirs: pens used in the “signing ceremony.”
According to Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), Democrat members “were giddy with excitement in Capitol hallway, asking, ‘Did you get your pen?’”
The brazen attitude at what should have been a “solemn” occasion even struck the far-left “news” network CNN by surprise, with CNN’s Dana Bash commenting on how “unusual it was to see that kind of ceremony and making — handing out the pens and smiling for a picture.”
Other commentators said the excited attitude by Democrats was “jarring” and “off-message,” as impeachment should be “sad and tragic.”
Wolf Blitzer went to defend the House “managers,” saying, “they will have those pens for the rest of their lives,” apparently trying to paint it as an achievement for their work against the President.
