WATCH: Hollywood triggered after Ricky Gervais tells them to ‘F**k off’ in Golden Globes monologue

Tonight, in his opening monologue at the 2020 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, CA, Ricky Gervais took aim at Hollywood starlets trying to get political at the annual event.

After bashing just about every Hollywood norm imaginable, Gervais said, “So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a political platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything, you know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg. So, if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent and your God and f**k off. OK?”

Gervais also conquered political correctness, saying, “Kevin Hart [lost] his job [as Oscars host] for 10-year-old tweets that he said he was sorry about and deleted at the time.” He continued, “So there’s more pressure on making [the jokes bulletproof]. It’s the world [watching]. This isn’t me in a comedy club.”

Gervais joked about the show on Netflix, Afterlife, he said, “Spoiler alert, there’s a season two, so in the end, he didn’t kill himself. Just like Jeffrey Epstein. Sorry, I know he’s your friend.”

After actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Joaquin Phoenix praised the “vegan” menu full of things such as beet soup, Gervais bashed the Hollywood Foreign Press, telling the audience, “The meal tonight was all vegetables as are all of the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press.”

  1. At least you can say the man is brave. Maybe more of Holly Woods elite will come out of the closet and confess their conservatism.

    1. Courage is a rare human trait. It was on display by Ricky Gervais at the G.G. and appreciated by so many who had never thought we’d see it at a Hollywood awards show. And seeing Tom hanks who has played so many movie roles as a strong protagonist looking like the phony brainless conformist and his faux outraged wife couldn’t have been more revealing.

  2. It’s about time someone said what so many of us were thinking… stick to acting! Your political views aren’t important to us! We have our own views and would rather watch awards be given NOT YOUR POLITICAL VIEWS. Chrucker99@aol.com

Hopefully more conservatives will let it be known they dont like to hear political comments against our president.

  4. Finally someone is willing to stand up and tell Hollywood what a total bunch of jerks they are. And PS. We the People are so done with it that we aren’t paying to see your movies, or watch your awards shows, or listen to your opinion about the best president in modern history. So thank you Ricky.

  5. Cool ❣️ Ricky Gervais is my newest hero. I now know he is made of the grit that it takes to survive in this world. Just like everyone else.. I have respect for the Man.
I’m going to have to check talk shows. I don’t want to miss him. I’ve always liked him, now I’ll make sure I see him when he’s on.
You Did Good Mr. Ricky Gervais❣️🎀🙏🏿🙏🏼🙏🥀🌹

  6. Ballsy move. Hollywood is living in a dream world and like he said we don’t care about their opinions. I don’t see them giving and helping others. Only themselves.
