Politico floats failed candidate Stacey Abrams as 2024 presidential material

At the end of the week, Politico published a piece about potential 2024 presidential candidates, listing possible Republican candidates as Donald Trump, Jr. and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

But as for Democrat candidates go, Politico listed a few surprise names, including radical socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Govs. Andrew Cuomo of New York and Gavin Newsom of California, and Stacey Abrams, the woman who failed to epic proportions in trying to win the Georgia governorship in 2018.

Politico says she brings a “great southern hope,” despite her abysmal numbers in a year where Democrats swept the board across the U.S., while she fell short. The article also contends that her advocacy group “Fair Fight 2020,” which aims to fix a nonexistent problem, “voter suppression,” will help her.

But her failure to win the 2018 campaign makes it hard for her to arise as a serious contender, especially since she does not hold elected office, and by 2024 will be seen as damaged goods. But the sight of Abrams as being a viable 2024 presidential candidate is a far cry from anything possible in this universe, making it absolutely laughable she might have a shot at the White House.

In 2019, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (who Abrams lost to), appointed leftist Kelly Loeffler to a U.S. Senate seat vacated by Sen. Johnny Isakson. The WMBA Atlanta, who Loeffler is a co-owner of, supported Abrams, and gave her an award. This may put the U.S. Senate seat in contention in 2020, as Loeffler may not fire up the right-wing base, which may mean Abrams has a shot at taking the seat.
