WATCH: Trump makes remarks on death of Soleimani — ‘his reign of terror is over’

President Trump made remarks on Friday, the first time he has spoken about the airstrike that killed Iranian terrorist commander Qasem Soleimani on Thursday.

“What the United States did yesterday should have been done long ago,” said Trump. He continued, “We took action last night to stop a war. We did not take action to start a war.”

“We take comfort in knowing that his reign of terror is over,” said President Trump about the military action.

“We do not seek regime change, however, the regime’s aggression in the region, including the use of proxy fighters to destabilize its neighbors must end and it must end now.”

“If Americans anywhere are threatened, we have all of those targets already fully-identified, and I am ready and prepared to take whatever action is necessary — and that in particular refers to Iran.”

Trump does not appear to be messing around in the slightest in regard to terrorism in the Middle East, and as he said, he is prepared to take “whatever action is necessary.”
